In the Winter of 2017, I began working on a collection of surface patterns under the name Spookish Delight. I’ve always loved horror, but have never enjoyed pointless suffering or gratuitous gore. Truly good horror holds a little spark of hope that illuminates our multifaceted relationship with fear. I like to describe my art as “Wholesome Horror.”
With this spirit, I have created over a hundred seamless, repeating patterns of cartoonish cryptids, neon mushrooms, skeletal rabbits, pastel ghosts and more. These delightful contradictions are whimsically illustrated and intensely colored. The entire catalogue can be viewed on my Spoonflower shop.
